Something New: Automotive Photography
Anybody who knows me, knows that I am completely obsessed with cars. I love everything about cars. From driving them, to working on them. I have dabbled in car photography over the years, but I have never done it enough to feel comfortable with it. I have decided recently that I would like to become more proficient in this type of photography. These past few weeks I have been arranging shoots with various people and their cars in order to give me a chance to practice up on my skills. Cars tend to be difficult subjects because of the tendancy that they have of reflecting everything in sight. They act like a giant, odd shaped mirror. I found out quite quickly that light can be a good friend or a worst enemy when shooting cars. I had the best luck shooting this Cobalt when it was in the shade (or when the clouds covered the sun). I really like how these turned out and I need to thank Jc for bringing his super clean 2010 Chevy Cobalt SS out on this rainy day.

Cadence Take 2
Well I had the chance to do another photo shoot this past weekend with one of my favorite and most attractive models. Cadence was stunning as usual, although we did have to wipe the drool off her cute little face from time to time. Enjoy

Chandler and Carissa
Well, I got a new camera and wanted to break it in. I found a few local models to help me out with the task of testing the new equipment out. I must say, I am very happy with the results and I think these two and the new camera performed flawlessly. I have to give these two props, it was pretty cold (as can be seen by the frozen pond), but they both did great. My hands were pretty numb by the end of the shoot, but the results were worth it. Enjoy.

The Richardson Family
Here is a great family that I had the opportunity to shoot a little while back. You may recognize the oldest boy, he was one of the "free photo shoots" that I did back in January. It sure was fun getting him and his whole family in front of the camera this time. We were looking for an urban type look and I think that this location gave us that look.

LOTOJA and family pictures. An eventful weekend.
I know, I'm a slacker. This all happened months ago and I am just getting around to adding it to my blog. Well, like the title says, we had two fun events packed into this weekend. We started the weekend off with a short bike ride starting in Logan, Utah and ending in Jackson Hole, Wyoming (200 miles or so). The following day we then had the fun idea to take our tired, sunburned, and aching bodies out to get some awesome family pictures in front of the beautiful Teton mountains. All in all, the weekend was great. We got to work together as a family and we were able to see some awesome sights (although on the bike ride, I mostly just stared at the road and tried not to throw up)
Nate and Christa, our wonderful button pushers

Baby Cadence
Here is the adorable baby Cadence. I must say, taking pictures of babies can be a challenge, but I think that Cadence did a great job and the shoot went quite smoothly. Check out her awesome Harley Davidson outfit at the end. Priceless.
